If Only That Hair Was Mine! Author discovers old photo of Jack Absolute!

Funny how you stumble across things! I was searching through an old file – and look what fell out!

Small swords at dusk with the mad Irishman!

Small swords at dusk with the mad Irishman!

There’s me, in 1987, at the Festival Theatre, Malvern, UK duelling as Jack Absolute in ‘The Rivals’. It was the first fight I ever choreographed – later in Canada that became a occasional job.

Don’t I look young! I was actually 31, newly returned from my Hollywood years, thrilled to be back on stage with such a good company – The Oxford Playhouse Co – directed by the wonderful Philip Grout. Little did I suspect that Jack Absolute would play such a great role in my life – at the time I thought it was just a great role!

But the hair? Not mine, alas! I had much more then but still not enough to do the full Romantic. Sigh!
